Cakewalk Chicago - Just across 99th Street - What she says:
Bake up the sweetest birthday memories ...
Prepare gourmet desserts. It's simpler than you think ...
Make fabulous edible gifts they'll ask for again and again ... Create traditions with your family... Maybe even better than the ones you remember.
Red Bliss Boutique - Also just across 99th Street - What they say:
Red Bliss Boutique is fast becoming the "place where women belong". As a co-op "style" boutique we allow small business owners an opportunity to showcase their products in our boutique without a long-term lease commitment. Whether you're looking for jewelry, soy candles, Swarovski Crystal, t-shirts, bath & body items or anything in between, we can help. For that special occasion or special person, come see us. Or stop in for a cool drink, some great "girlfriend" company or just to say hi...we'd love to see you here!
The Beverly Allstars - Just played the first of many gigs at the Blue Moon!
Reading on Walden - Long-time friends of the Blue Moon family.
Support a store that sells books which invests
time, energy and money in your community. That store is Reading on
Walden Bookstore, of course. When was the last time "Waldenbooks,"
"Amazon" or "amazon.com," or "Barnes and Noble" or or "B. Dalton Books"
or "Borders Book"s or even "Walden Books," organized a community march?
Helped the BHMP Garden Walk become a world-class event. Organized
Neighborhood Watch. Attended a CAPS meeting. Fought to keep our
community Police Station here. Organized a Political Debate in Your
Community. Donated to the Beverly Art Center. Attended a concert at
World Music Company. And check out our books at Reading on Walden
Bookstore, of course.
My Sister's Knits - Just around the corner from the Blue Moon. Come to the Blue Moon Wednesday nights to join in.
9907 S. Walden Parkway
My Sister's Knits is more
than just a yarn shop. You may find some funky button's, hand dyed
ribbon, gorgeous new and vintage jewelry , totes and bag's of all sorts
(and not just for Knitter's either.), soy based candles, specialty
soaps, the list goes on and on! Our goal is to teach and share our knowledge of knitting in a place that feels like home. Come for yarn, leave with a friend. Knit, laugh, knit, chat, knit, sip tea or coffee, but do come to our little shop and become a part of this creative community in beautiful Beverly.
World Folk Music - Without music, the world is silent.1808 West 103rd Street; Chicago, IL 60643 (773) 779-7059 Our mission at World Music Company is to bring culturally diverse music to the South Side of Chicago and surrounding suburbs through education and performance. Our goal is to create a viable venue in our community that will benefit everyone who has an interest in the art of indigenous and independent music from around the world. We have a social bottom line as well as a financial one. That is to be able to offer scholarships to underprivileged members of the community, and to provide an outlet for these worthy programs and performances that otherwise would have little chance of commercial success.
Blossom Boys - Where the Unusual is Usual9911 S WALDEN PARKWAY - CHICAGO, IL 60643 - (773)779-4400 We are a full-service florist with an eye
